Create and Manage Docs (Docs 2.0)
Welcome to this comprehensive tutorial! This guide will walk you through the process of creating a document, adding rich content, and managing document settings.
(A) Creating a Document
1. Access the Docs Section
Click on Docs on the left-hand side of your screen.
2. Create a New Document
Click on Create Document.
3. Set the Document Title
Enter the Document Title. Press Enter and finalize.
(B) Writing and Editing a Document
1. Add Content
Write directly in the document or use AI to generate content. To use AI, enter a Prompt and click on Send.
2. Review AI Content
If satisfied with the AI-generated content, click on Insert.
(C) Adding a Cover Image
1. Select Cover Image
Click on Add Cover.
(D) Highlighting and Formatting Text
1. Highlight Text
Select the text you want to highlight and choose a background color from the top menu.
2. Format Text
Change the text type (e.g., bold, italic, underline, or strikethrough). Align the text (left, center, right, or justified).
3. List Creation
Use bullet lists or numbered lists.
4. Change Text Color
Select the text, click on Text Color, and choose your desired color.
5. Change Background Color
Choose a background color for the text.
6. Insert Quotes or Code Blocks
Add a quote or a code block as needed.
7. Insert Tables or Alerts
Add tables or alert banners for additional information.
8. Add a Toggle
Insert a toggle for collapsible content.
9. Embed Multimedia
Insert images, videos, or other file types.
(E) Embedding Files
1. Embed Various Files
Embed files from Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and more. To add a Loom video, click on the appropriate area.
2. View Blocks
Press Forward Slash (/) to see a list of all available blocks.
3. Choose Block Type
Select from basic blocks (e.g., headings, bullet lists, task lists, quotes) or advanced blocks (e.g., code blocks, tables).
4. Embed Loom Video
Click on Loom to embed a Loom video.
Paste the URL of the Loom video.
5. Finalize Embedding
Click on Embed
(F) Adding Tags and Using AI Features
1. Add Tags
Click on Add Tags and include relevant tags for better organization.
2. Interact with AI
Use the Chat with Document feature to engage with AI.
3. Document Modification
Utilize AI to make the document longer or shorter, regenerate it, edit it, or ask questions.
4. Extract Key Information
Type a prompt to extract key information from the document and click Send.
(G) Managing Document Settings
1. Change Document Status
Update the document status to draft, in progress, in review, or done.
2. Lock the document
Lock the document, add it to favorites, create a sub-doc, duplicate the document, copy the link, share it, or toggle the Zen mode for a distraction-free interface.
3. Delete the Document
Click on the thre dots and select 'Delete' to delete the document if necessary.
