In the Automations panel, switch to the "Custom" tab. This is where you'll set up and define your custom automation.

Click on the drop-down menu under "Custom." Select a condition that triggers the automation. For this guide, choose "When a task is updated."

5. Add the Condition

Click on the plus (+) button to add the selected condition to your automation.

6. Define Additional Conditions (Optional)

You can add more conditions if needed by repeating the above step. For example, you can set conditions based on deadlines, task priorities, or team members.

7. Choose an Action

F choose the action you want to automate from the drop-down menu. Remember, you're not restricted to a single condition or action - add as many as you need.

8. Trigger Notification to Google Space

In our example, we're choosing Space and Message. This automation will trigger a notification to Google Space whenever a task is completed.

Click Save. Your automation is now ready. Close the pop-up window.

9. Test Your Automation

To test your automation, mark a task as completed.

10. Go to Google Chat

Open Google Chat and navigate to the Space associated with your project.
