Automatically Reassign Tasks Based on Project Progress
Assign new onboarding tasks to HR team members automatically, reassign tasks as projects progress to the right team members & reassign tasks based on project milestones for better productivity.
This tutorial will guide you through the process of automatically reassigning tasks based on project progress using Kroolo Projects, designed for users of all levels. Here's what you need to do👇
1. Navigate to the Project Section
Go to the Project section in your Kroolo workspace.
2. Select Your Project
Choose the project you want to manage.
3. Access Automations
Click on 'Automations'. This section contains various automation templates.
🔹To Create an Automation for New Tasks
4. Select Task Automation
Click on Task to start setting up the automation.
5. Choose the Template
Select the template titled 'When a new task is created, then change assignee.'
6: Assign the Task
Set the task to be assigned to Michael.
7. Save the Automation
Click 'Save' to create the automation.
8. Close the Popup
Close the popup window to complete the setup.
🔹To Add a New Task
9. Create a New Task
Add a new task and click 'Save'. The task will automatically be assigned to Michael as per the automation.
🔹To Reassign Tasks Based on Status Changes
10. Return to Automations
Go back to the 'Automations' section.
11. Browse for Status Change Template
Click on 'Browse' and select the template for changing the assignee as the status changes.
12. Configure Status Changes
Click on the selected template and set the initial status to 'Open' and the new status to 'In Progress'.
13. Change the Assignee
Assign the task to Julia and click 'Save' to create the new automation. Close the popup window to finalize the setup.
🔹To Change the Status of a Task
14. Update Task Status
Change the status of the task to 'In Progress'. The task will automatically be reassigned to Julia as per the new automation.
