Import Projects using a CSV or Excel file

Import multiple tasks at once for large projects, quickly set up new projects for team members and regularly update project details using CSV files.

This tutorial will guide you through the process of importing projects using CSV and Excel files using Kroolo Projects, designed for users of all levels. Here's what you need to do👇

Start by Selecting the Desired Workspace

1. Navigate to Projects

Step 1: Navigate to the project section in the left hand side.

2. Click on "Create Project"

Select the option to create a new project.

3. Choose a Template and Enter Project Details

Click on 'Create Project' and choose a blank template.

4. Adjust Project Settings

Set the priority, start date, end date, and privacy settings.

5. Create the Project

Click on "Create Project" to finalize the setup. You can open the project and view its details.

At this point, the project has no tasks. To import tasks using a CSV or Excel file, follow these steps👇

Importing Tasks Using a CSV or Excel File

1. Access Import Options

Click on the three dots next to the project name

2. Select "Import"

Choose the "Import" option from the drop down menu.

3. Upload the CSV File

Drop your CSV file into the designated area for uploading

4. Verify File Format

Go to Files -> Hover on 'Download' and choose the Excel format.

5. Export in CSV format

Export the file in CSV format.

6. Review Imported Tasks

All details including task name, description, status, start date, due date, and assignee email will be displayed.

Click on "Go to Project" to view the imported tasks in the project board.
