Use DORA Metrics in the Sprints Dashboard for Engineering Intelligence

DORA Metrics are now integrated into the Sprints Dashboard, providing engineering intelligence through performance insights

DORA Metrics

DORA metrics in the Sprints dashboard help you understand engineering performance and delivery efficiency. Here’s how to explore these insights and get the most out of your dashboard.

1. Navigate to the Sprints

Open the main Sprints. Click Engineering Intelligence to open the section.

Select DORA Metrics to view key engineering performance indicators.

Review the top area for a quick overview of essential DORA metrics for your chosen time period:

  • Mean Time to Restore

  • Average Cycle Time

  • Pull Request Merge Rate

  • Active Contributors

2. View the Visual Trends

Scroll down to view visual trends. The first graph shows daily commit activity over time.

Hover over the commit activity graph to see details for specific dates.

View the next graph for deployment success versus failure trends.

Hover over the deployment graph to analyse data for particular dates.

At the dashboard’s bottom, find a detailed breakdown of the selected metric (for example, MTTR).

Change the selected metric anytime by scrolling to the top and clicking the relevant card.

To dive deeper, click View Details on any metric card for an in-depth look.

In the Insight section, examine comprehensive data like Task ID, Start/End time, Restore time, environment, status, and remarks.

Filter by environment. Click the filter and choose an environment, such as Production, to see related data.

Use navigation arrows to browse through different pages of detailed data.

Change the displayed time period by selecting the date picker at the top, then pick your desired range (like 7- or 14-day views).

Review the DORA metrics overview and insights to continuously measure and improve your team’s engineering performance within each Sprint.

With the DORA Metrics section in Engineering Intelligence, track critical metrics, spot trends, and analyse detailed breakdowns to drive better delivery outcomes throughout your sprint cycles.
